Single-channel video

2014, 2’40”

When my children were born, it was a difficult experience for me. Once I recorded my crying son with a silent film camera. I got rid of the voice. In this work, I use this silent footage as the image of the lost voice. Frames, as spectrograms, are converted to sound in a method similar to slow-scan television used in early space exploration. Lost voice is retrieved from the image, the image of the ambivalence of my feelings.
